Habitat Hillsborough to open its third ReStore

BRANDON, FL, June 28, 2018 – Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County will debut its third ReStore retail operation with the opening of its new 15,000-square-foot location on Saturday, July 14th at 501 W. Robertson Street in Brandon. At 10:00 a.m. the doors will officially open to the public to participate in the grand opening activities, special discounts and refreshments until 3 p.m.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently-used furniture, appliances, cabinets, plumbing and lighting fixtures, windows, doors, flooring and building materials at deeply discounted prices. Profits from the Habitat ReStores go directly to fund the mission of Habitat for Humanity and its affordable home building program in Hillsborough County. Habitat’s ReStore operations rely on donations from the community for its wide variety of gently-used home improvement items, as well as salvaged or surplus building materials. The ReStore also seeks donations from local businesses for new merchandise that includes factory overruns, discontinued products and scratch-and-dent items.

“During the first few years, we are hoping to achieve $1 million in sales from our Brandon location, which will help infuse vital funds into our Habitat for Humanity home building program,” said Dan Crowther, Habitat Hillsborough ReStore Director.

The new Brandon ReStore on Robertson Street is across from the rear of the Clayton Plaza Office Depot on Brandon Boulevard. In addition to the new Brandon location, Habitat Hillsborough has two Tampa ReStores at 3738 East Hillsborough Avenue and 11236 West Hillsborough Avenue in the Silvermill Plaza. The Tampa ReStore hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and the Brandon ReStore hours will be Tuesday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. To schedule a donation pick-up for large items or free deconstruction/salvage services, call the ReStore hotline at 813- 540-7540.
