Future Habitat Homeowner
For Michelle Range, home is much more than just a place to live—it’s a symbol of blessings, joy, family, love, and longevity. It represents legacy and pride, a space where memories are made and a foundation for the next generation is built. After years of hard work, Michelle takes great pride in having achieved a piece of the American dream—a place to call her own, where her family can feel safe and secure for years to come.
Michelle is the proud mother of two children: Eric (22) and Ah’Jeir (16), who both live in their three-bedroom, two-bathroom home. She is also a devoted grandmother. As the Club Director for the Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay, Michelle spends her days helping to shape and inspire young lives across the community. Her commitment to service and mentorship extends far beyond her own home—and she brings that same sense of heart and leadership into everything she does.
Despite her many accomplishments, Michelle has recently faced a series of unexpected challenges. After suffering flooding and storm damage from Hurricane Milton, her family was forced to leave their home and live temporarily with relatives. Adding to the urgency, her older son Eric lives with a physical disability and requires accessible updates in their bathroom, including a larger shower space with safety bars and a bench chair for mobility and comfort. With her home in need of critical repairs, Michelle was at risk of losing the very place that represented so much love and progress.
Thanks to Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County and a generous grant from Verizon, Michelle’s home is now being repaired and restored—ensuring her family can return to a space that’s not only safe but fully meets their needs. This support has brought renewed hope to Michelle and her loved ones, allowing them to continue building their future with strength and dignity.
Michelle shares her deep gratitude, saying:
“God is good, and as a team, we can build my family’s legacy one brick at a time. Thank you to Habitat for being such a huge blessing to my family and so many others. And to Verizon, thank you for your generosity and for investing in families like mine.”
Her journey is a powerful reminder that through faith, community, and support, families can overcome life’s storms—and come home again, stronger than ever.
