Gabriel Mineo is a distinguished individual, marked by his status as a disabled veteran, his honorable discharge, and his journey towards a brighter future through the Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County’s affordable homeownership program.
A devoted husband and father of two, Gabriel’s determination and resilience shine through in every facet of his life.
Having served honorably in the Navy as a Cryptographic Technician (CTR3), Gabriel’s military background reflects his dedication and sense of duty. His commitment to his family is evident in his heartfelt belief that “home is where my family and I are together.”
For Gabriel, a home represents more than bricks and mortar: it signifies a tangible, unwavering foundation for growth and the realization of life’s potential.
Currently, Gabriel, his wife, and their two sons find themselves in a cramped apartment, where the age gap between their children makes sharing a room a challenge. Additionally, the recent loss of Gabriel’s in-laws necessitated the consolidation of cherished mementos into their already snug living space.
Gabriel’s path to Habitat for Humanity of Hillsborough County was paved by his dear friend and sibling, who is currently enrolled in the Habitat homeownership financial literacy program. Upon learning about the program, Gabriel was inspired to apply, fueled by the hope of creating a better home for his cherished family.
In expressing his gratitude, Gabriel extends heartfelt thanks to the generous volunteers and corporate sponsors who have played an integral role in making his dream a reality. He acknowledges the invaluable gift that their efforts provide. To Gabriel, their hard work is not just appreciated; it is a beacon of hope for a brighter future, one filled with the promise of stability, growth, and cherished moments for him and his family.
