Maria Perrotta

For Maria Perrotta, home is more than just a place to live—it is a space of security, peace, and love. Having a home of her own means finally feeling settled, knowing that her family has a stable and safe place to thrive.

Maria has worked tirelessly as a housekeeper in various areas of Tampa, ensuring a better future for her family. However, the challenges of skyrocketing rent, poor living conditions, and the uncertainty of temporary housing have made it difficult to achieve long-term stability. The mold in her current apartment, along with the constant fear of rent increases, has left her longing for a permanent and affordable home where she can find peace of mind.

For over 16 years, Maria has rented different places, knowing none of them would ever truly be home. Despite these hardships, she has remained steadfast in her dream of homeownership—a dream that is now within reach thanks to Habitat for Humanity.

Maria is deeply grateful for the volunteers and sponsors who are making this dream a reality. She believes that helping those in need is a blessing, and she knows that their generosity will come back to them many times over. She looks forward to the day when she and her family can finally rest in a home of their own, free from worry and filled with hope for the future.
