Veterans Build Week of Service: Day 2

Today is Day 2 of our Veterans Build Week of Service and we have a Veteran in need of a new ramp to help access his home. Billy Albritton is a Vietnam Navy Veteran who lives with his wife Vivian, who is currently hospitalized for surgery due to complications of her diabetes.

During his time in the Navy, Billy shipped to Da Nang, Vietnam on three occasions. His role as a coxswain was notoriously difficult, as he navigated Vietnam Coasts for support missions. Billy served from 1962 to 1967.

Billy and Vivian are both over 75 years old and suffer from chronic health conditions and mobility impairments due to age and illness. A new ramp will help the couple enter and exit their home safely and without fear of falling. “Having a ramp has been a huge blessing,” Billy said.
